City Apartments In Canada
Millions of people in Canada and around the world choose to live in cities – so there must be good reason for it. In this guide we shall look at some of the advantages to living in a city apartment over living in the suburbs. Canada has several wonderful cities to choose from, including some of the most popular and largest cities Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal.
Convenience and Proximity
One of the major advantages of living in a city apartment over living in the suburbs is the proximity in which you are to all of your every day needs. You will never be far from a local grocery store, pharmacy, movie theatre or anything else.
For those of us who love shopping – the city is the ideal ground for some retail therapy. Whilst the suburbs may have a nice range of stores – cities will have almost every store you can want and will usually stock more items than their suburb equivalents. This point brings us on to our next advantage – public transportation.
Public Transportation
When you live in the city you don’t need to own a car because everything is so close by and public transport networks are generally very good. Not only does this save you thousands of dollars on gas each year but is much better for the environment too! People who live in the suburbs will usually travel to work in their car, and will also need to drive everywhere such as the grocery store and pharmacy. In the city you have all these at your fingertips. Traffic in cities can be very bad – however if you don’t own a car then this will not be a problem for you. Travel on the train or cycle to work and you never have to worry about traffic again.
